Attribution starts at sign-up
A fan picks the program, athlete, podcast or show they want to back when they subscribe. The fan’s choice at sign-up decides which creator each subscription is attributed to.
A ten-minute preview, then a subscribe prompt
Anyone can watch the first 10 minutes of a live stream free. After that the app asks them to subscribe. The preview lets a program reach people who are not fans yet, before asking them to pay.
Going live from a phone
A program broadcasts a game, a practice or the locker room from a phone, and needs no broadcast rights to do it. The same iOS and Android apps handle watching, fans can also watch on the web, and on the phone apps subscriptions run through in-app purchases.
Payouts on a fixed date
Half of each subscription is attributed to the creator the fan chose. Payouts go out on the first day of each month and there is no minimum balance, so a small program with a handful of supporters still gets paid that month.
